We have not given up on Liverpool

It is this company's policy to rotate classes and rehearsals between Yorkshire and the Northwest and to hold at least one of our classes in the Northwest in Liverpool. We do that because several members of our company and many good friends and well-wishers live there. One of our best classes last year took place in Z Studios when Yvonne Charlton of IJsselstein taught us her arrangement of one of the divertissements in Don Quixote.

Unfortunately, Z Studios has closed and I have not yet been able to find a new venue.  I had high hopes of St John Bosco which actually accepted the full payment in advance only to tell me that they are unable to facilitate our booking "due to not having any hours available to cover caretakers shift for the day." I tried every other venue that I could find but most did not pick up the phone, return my call or answer my email.

As I had to find somewhere fast, I contacted Suzie Mitchell of the Dancehouse who offered us Studio 2.  That's the studio in which Karen Sant teaches on Tuesdays and it is one of the best in the building.  It has a lovely piano for which I shall try to find a local accompanist.   But the main thing is that Mark Hindle is still available in Manchester.   As everyone who has ever attended his class knows, Mark is an ace ballet master.

So, we cordially invite all our friends and connections in Liverpool and everywhere else to a free 90-minute class between 14:30 and 16:00 on Saturday, 30 Nov 2019.  All you have to do is click here and register on the Eventbrite page.

We have not given up on Liverpool.  If anyone can put me in touch with a dance studio in Liverpool or its suburbs I should be very grateful.   There is plenty of time to plan and market our February, April or June class there.   In the new year, I have booked Annemarie Donoghue for our first class of the New Year and Jane Tucker for a full day repertoire workshop.
